Thank you for shipping to a different destination as it is a gift for my brother who lives in Wichita. I am states away and could never have found a more interesting or appropriate read for our aviation-oriented family.

  • A little dry, but very well researched.

I remember the morning the KC-135 crash happened very well. It was the first time I recall a big national news story happening so close to my home. KLEO radio, the only station we teenagers listened to, went to continuous news coverage. It was eerie. This the first time I can recall a discussion of what happened and why. None of the crew or those on the ground had a chance of survival. "Ground Zero" is a small park now. I've been by it many times.
