Great price! I took this out of the mailing packaging last night and it looked great....And I decided to wait until looking at it this morning before leaving any feedback. On my second look I am even more impressed. It feels great in my medium-large hand - just a perfect fit without gloves. I love the leather handle. The blade is made of 1095 CroVan HC steel with an edge that is razor/hair-popping sharp right out of the box. Incredibly impressive. The blade length and thickness is "spot-on" for my uses and I love the full flat grind for ease of sharpening. I'm sure this knife will be a great slicer... Did I mention what a great price, great value and Great Knife this is? Note: This has just become my new "go to" knife...Great price! Took it out of the box had a nice edge hit it a few times with a honing rod now sharp enough to shave. You can't go wrong for a all around field knife.

EXCELLENT knife for the forest.
Highly practical knife for carrying in the woods. It doesn't get in the way when driving my pick-up truck. I always have it on me when I go to the forest which,is often. KA-BAR has made a very practical & well made tool for the out doors.I have taken care of it & hope to be using this knife for years.
