No better than the factory plastics shocks
I bought these as an upgrade to the original RS4 Sport 3 Flux factory ones - these looked promising, but fell short. The shocks are supposed to have a "re-bound" system, and they don't. I put them together exactly as depicted in the instructions, and even tried "re-building" a couple of them more than once, and none of them "re-bound". Also, I find it amazing how I can put together 4 of the same shocks, using the same shock oil, and they all perform differently. Some are stiffer, some are softer - makes no sense. The springs that come with these are awful - none of them work well and they are too short. The factory springs fit much better. Stiffer than Tamiya Aluminum shocks
Compared to Tamiya aluminum mini shocks, these are stiff shocks. Pistons were a bit too tight against the shaft, I had to drill them just a bit. Springs were stiff--still usable for the rear shocks of RWD car, or something heavy like a nitro car. But just way too stiff for the light front of RWD M06 chassis. Also too stiff for the rear of FWD M05. Having said that, these are well built. Just use different springs, or drill out the piston holes if you want them softer.Compared to Tamiya aluminum mini shocks, these are stiff shocks.
