Very nice..the only problem is it does not fit the hump of an 03 Mercury Marquis. I am using it as a mount for my Cobra 29 CB that I use as a base Looks nice and the front firing speaker is clearer than one that fires downward

WITH OUT A CB INSTALLED THE RADIO HUMP MOUNT SITS AS PICTURES IN PHOTOS.. I ATTACHED A COBRA 29 SIZED RADIO AND THE WEIGHT OF THE RADIO CAUSED THE FRONT OF THE MOUNT TO LIFT AND KEPT LIFTING UNTILL THE RADIO CINTACTED THE FLOOR BENEATH THE REAR END OF THE CB.. AT THIS POINT THE FRONT OF THE MOUNT WAS ABOUT 4 INCHES UP IN THE AIR.. I HAD TO FASHION A BRACKET TO EXTEND OFF OF THE REAR OF THE MOUNT TO ACT AS A OUTRIGGER.. THAT KEPT THE FRONT END OF MOUNT IN CONTACT WITH THE FLOOR AND ALL WAS WELL. THE RADIO BRACKET WAS HID UNDER THE RADIO AND ESSENTIALLY INVISABLE.. THE OTHER OPTION WAS TO PUT A COUNTER WEIGHT IN THE FRONT OF THE MOUNT TO OPPOSE THE WEIGH OF THE RADIO. IF YOU NEED AN EXTENSION SPEAKER FOR YOUR RADIO THIS WILL FIT THE BILL. TIGHT FIT BETWEEN THE SEATS MEANS IT WILL NOT MOVE UNNECESSARILY. CUP HOLDERS MAKE FOR EVEN MORE CONVENIENCE.

Easy as can be to mount a mobile VHF radio.
An ingenious solution for the install of a VHF Radio on the pickup transmission hump. I screwed the mike holder to the side of the unit. The included speaker is superior to the built in speaker in the Yaesu, just make sure to protect the 28 gauge speaker wire or it will rip off the solder terminals. (Ask me how I know).

Nice setup!
This mount is a great alternative to drilling holes in your vehicle. It stays put while holding a fairly large radio with no issues. The speaker iisnt very loud but works great for my purpose. I would have given it a 5 star rating if the speaker was louder. Great product at a great price.
