    worth reading; not his best, not his worst.

    I love all of King's books; this one does not rank with Misery, Rose Madder, Shining, or The Stand, but it uses his 'pattern' well; and I found it entertaining, if somewhat bulky...being a hardback! ha. I bought it as I give all of King's books a shot, and this was a B+ overall. I consider King the Shakespeare of our times; his prolific skills, imaginative plots, the intensity of his characters, and his ability to deal with real issues; wife abuse, power abuse, alcoholism, fame, race issues, and numerous other societal problems are addressed in most of his books; this one included. All are laced or frosted with TERROR and the only book he wrote I could have left alone was The Cell; boring. I doubt such a magnificent writer shall come along again for some time! He interweaves good and evil ...

    One of the best

    My book arrived in excellent condition. Stephen King's Desperation is one of his best. Like his many other books,it's never boring and this one is definitely hard to put down.

    A really good King book..

    I'm a fan of Stephen King and this one was a good one.. Desperation was surreal and disturbing at the same time.. The book by Richard Bachman aka: Stephen King titled The Regulators isn't even half as good as Desperation.. Although some of the same characters grace the pages of both books The Regulators pales in comparison standing against Desperation.. Maybe that's why Stephen King's actual name is on this book & there is a made for tv movie based on this book...
