Took a while to get tracking info after they said it shipped, then sent the wrong tracking anyway. They were responsive, however, and the item arrived well-packed and sooner than the tracking said (guess the other customer will get their order soon…). The item is exactly as described and prices are very competitive, so I would recommend them, but it was a bit frustrating as I waited to figure out what was actually going on.

great communication fast delivery and product as shown arrived in great shape and well packaged. good order. price was very good compared with most . only problem is I guess I am a DIY person learn as you go thanks youtube. the back plate against the wall is a little different in hole mounting positions and slots so not just remove and replace with bolts.

As advertised, well packed and quick ship. FedEx made an error in tracking number, but in spite of that, the package was delivered on time and undamaged. Good seller!

For familiar highway uses it is recommended. A Cheap insurance!

For the highways needs, this LOW priced radar detector works well enough giving plenty of warnings (way further than visual range). Of course it does NOT distinguish the difference between stationary radar signal speed meter as well as side marking sensors (lane keeping assistance) on some cars. Hence, if you KNOW the road very well and travel the same road often, this will work well for you. If you are traveling on a brand new road, not so much because it will make you second guess. Also different band indicator (X, K, and Ka) along with signal strength indicator and volume can help you "filter" out side marking radars coming from cars around you, etc. Basically, your brain and/or the common sense is the filter for this radar detector and when you combine your experience with its long ...

Don’t waste your money! You get what you pay for !

Well, I was trying to save a little money since selling my Uniden R3 and figured since this DFR1 was a brand new in the box Uniden, it had to be ok. Loved my R3 so was basing the brand name on that. Wow was I wrong! Range was terrible on this thing. It picked up a police car when it was right in front of me approaching me but only about 20 feet away. Specific band (x,k, ka or laser) did not flash however ALL bands went crazy. Hard to believe cop had all four going at one time. Then I tried it on a speed sign that my R3 would pick up about a mile away. This POS didn’t pick that sign up until I was in throwing distance of the sign if I was to throw this DFR1 at it ! Needless to say I sent it back. It’s useless. Spend the extra $75-$100 and get something that works ! Stay away from this thing ...

  • Do not get

If you're buying this to detect radars in police cars, not the product for that. I drove past a bunch of speed traps (going the speed limit ) with this thing and the detector never went off once. I do know the officer's cars had their radars on due to watching other people get nailed for driving too quickly. The suction cup on the mount was also useless and I had to buy a replacement. Would not recommend.

  • Jury still out

I bought this unit based on reviews. Seems a few years ago it was the go-to radar detector. I mounted it to the front brake reservoir of my harley so it's about dashboard hight. So of course, on a motorcycle hearing it isnt an option and I relied on visual notification. Its VERY dim compared to my old OLD cobra unit so I kept a close eye on it. Hit a city area that was overflowing with police for labor day weekend. Not once did it go off. Ok, maybe but then I rode up to one of those "You are doing..." stationary radar warning devices. It displayed the car in front of me then gave my speed which accurately reflected what my speedometer said. The uniden didnt flash beeps or anything! I know it was getting power and was set to highway in the rural area so something should of shown up. I ...

  • Not terrible...not great

I had hoped it would perform as well as the uniden dfr6 but with less features. Unfortunately side by side it’s night and day. The dfr1 doesn’t beep until right at the last second whereas the dfr6 gives noticeably more warning. It’d be better having than not but would definitely be worth spending a little more.
