  • UNIX under the hood

This is THE classic text on operating systems. Many Computer Science students use this text when they take their required course on operating systems as an undergradute. UNIX is a near ubitiqious operating system. Designed at Bell labs in the early 70s, it has been refined and used by scientests, engineers and computer science students for decades. It is a favorite environment for software development and scientific applications. This text stands the test of time as UNIX is a very stable operating system with established standards.
