    Great Price, lackluster blockbuster

    great price and rapid delivery made this a good deal. The film itself is rather poorly pieced together, puts history in a bit of a blender, and features the SBD Dauntless as apparently the only airplanes the Navy had on their carriers. A few CG TBD Devastators appear here and there for AA fodder - no close ups or detail, of course.

    A good effort at accuracy

    My dad was at Pearl Harbor, but he did not say a lot about that morning until near the end of hid life. One of the things he did mention was the body bags. So I was stunned when a scene included them. I then realized that this effort includes a fair attempt at historical accuracy. It is my opinion (as a student of history) that the Battle of Midway was among the top three battles in WWII insofar as their wide spread impact across the globe. Midway was instrumental in the defeat of Hitler beyond that of Japan. Young people need to see this movie and try to understand what our great Nation accomplished in those dark times.

    Excellent filmography

    Saw this at the theater and it's one of the best and accurate movies I've seen of the heroics in world war II. Totally awesome filmography makes you feel like you are right there. You will love the movie if you haven't seen it yet.

    EXCELLENT MOVIE - WATCH THIS!!!

    EXCELLENT MOVIE! I hate war movies, but this movie really had me on the edge of my seat. All those dog fights with the fighter planes was amazing. Great scenery; great characters; really a great movie. Loved it.
