Very Durable / Easy Installation
The Traxxas 2072X gears are far more durable than the plastic ones that come in the default servo. In a week's time, they have already outlived the ones they replaced - all while driving them much harder. The included illustrated instructions makes installing easy. Only taking away a single star for price, since I was able to find another (complete) steering servo that included metal gears for only a few dollars more. But if your servo is new like mine was, you can save a few bucks on this set.The Traxxas 2072X gears are far more durable than the plastic ones that come in the default servo. Quality product
The metal gear set is great. But these do not fit in the original plastic casing. It's too tight the gears won't move. I called Traxxas and they sent the approved casing for metal gearing at half price since I bought the gears already.

big improvement over stock
While expensive, this fixes the biggest flaw with the traxxas submicro servo, its gears. I too the time to lightly chamfer the edges of the gears for smoother operation. Use the includwd grease liberally.
