About this product

Product Information

Walt Disney Pictures presents The Princess and the Frog . . . . Tiana is a beautiful, hardworking young woman with a dream. Naveen is a spoiled, jazz-loving prince who doesn't understand the meaning of hard work. This unlikely pair has nothing in common-until they are magically transformed into frogs! Forced to work together as they set out to regain their human forms, will Naveen and Tiana eventually find true love in each other? Disney's fresh take on an old fairy tale reminds us all that true beauty is more than skin deep and dreams really do come true. This hardcover Read-Aloud Storybook retells the heartwarming feature film with dazzling full-color art.

  • Love the Diversity but Hard to Follow

Tiana is beautiful, but most of the movie follows Tiana and her prince as frogs. Don't bother trying to explain it to little ones; it is complicated to follow but beautiful to watch. Dr. Facilier, the voodoo witch doctor must not be too intimidating because he was the one my two year old (three next month) wanted to meet at Disney World so badly, followed by Tiana and Prince Naveen. (The irony is that she panicked when meeting Tiana and Prince Naveen at Disney World. It was priceless.) I highly recommend the movie for diversity purposes. I know Disney has attempted to introduce diverse princesses with Mulan, Jasmine, and Pochahantas, but Tiana is a hard-working, modern day African American girl from the Bayou. I love that she is not a young girl searching for her prince to "rescue" ...

  • Tiana's world

I had seen only part of this movie but was captivated by the story of a princess and a frog in Louisiana in the Bayou. Since I probably will not see the rest of the movie, I thought that this book would fill me in on the story. It did! Beautiful artistry. Vivid colors that jump from the page.

  • Great book

Our granddaughters love the movie so we decided to get them the book also. Both of them love to read so we thought this would be a good book for them. They love it. Every time they visit us, they get the book and read it. I would recommend this book to everyone.
