  • Rich vibrant colors without the mud. Intense Inktense! Like a liquid Rainbow!

I love my Inktense Blocks, they add a whole new method of watercolor painting but without paint but with ink. These are amazing, and this is a great price. Such vivid intense colors, and like watercolor, you pull them right from the blocks. Huge range of greens and blues... from turquoises to amazing violets. Every shade of Yellow with Red you'll ever need... even a cold yellow! If you're looking to stain some cloth, this works on both cotton and Silk. When I paint I need to find complements to my colors. I found in the 72 colors a lot that have a complement that goes not just to neutral gray, but black! the others can be brought to nice dark warm to cool browns. With the exception of about 18 neutral colors, most middle tints, if not all can be made with this set without getting ...

  • Exactly what I was looking for.

I've been looking for a complete set of these blocks but amazon was still too pricey. These are seconds, with a defect of some sort. Mine had a dented tin with no way to inspect contents. The box was dented but the blocks inside were pristine. Not a broken one. Well worth the discount I paid for the damaged tin and box. I'll be using these for painting on fabric. Very happy with this purchase.

  • A fine alternative to inks.

These blocks are a heavily pigmented stick that can be used in tandem with traditional watercolors to add a more opaque finish to artwork. Best used with a waterbrush as you would a panned watercolor. Colorfast and a terrific value. Some colors are redundant and the lighter earth tones could be more robust but the blacks and blues more than compensate. For the money, you would be hard pressed to find a better bargain than Derwent products.
