    Made from metal that’s brittle

    Traxxas makes these from a weak nickel metal composite. If you intend on using on 8s, you need a real steel spur and pinion ones made using cnc methods work well, also hot racing brand spurs have worked well.

    Don't waste your money

    Don't buy the Traxxas spur or pinion gears they are crap and strip easily only buy the CNC machined steel gears. The Traxxas monkey metal ones don't hold up I've stripped everyone I've tried to use. Have not had any problems since switching to steel gears.
