The item was listed as acceptable and met all of my needs but here's a quick description of what I got: Some wear is visible on the plastic sleeve on the outside of the case. The inside leaflet was still there! The disk has about 3 very notable scratches, although none are bigger than about 2 centimeters. Little to no grime anywhere on the product. Great service!

    foundation of early violin solo playing

    These books are not one to buy to LEARN to play the violin. For that, you need another method book to teach you the basics. This book will not teach you how to read music. Suzuki Book 1 is often used alongside Suzuki-based early learning classes. Many teachers also use it in early instruction because of the selections. Unlike most method books that include a line or two of a piece, this book includes the whole song. Some easy tunes are included for the beginner students. Variations are written to practice bowing and rhythm skills. These books are also available on recording to listen to and/or play along with. A good book for beginning violin repetoire!

    I have taught violin for over 30 years, and this is still to me the best beginning book for beginners with the proper instruction.
