Best for bright sounding guitars.
If your guitar has a dark tone I would avoid these unless you need a vintage tone. The nickel plated wound strings are great straight out of the pack. For studio use I would change the b and high e a couple days before and then put the wound strings on right before recording. Fantastic volume and projection. Good stability. Warmer than phosphor bronze. Longevity should be longer than usual. There are 1000 variables in the consideration of longevity, though. These are my favorite acoustic guitar strings I have ever tried and certainly for this price. I have had trouble finding a set that is thick enough for the tone and sound I prefer but isn't too hard for me to play. These are the ones. I will be buying more!
