Rain proof
The canopy fits loosely, so that water will collect in the middle along the edges and stretches the material in between the grommet holes. The good news is that it truly is waterproof! The frame I have is made by JC Penney, the first replacement was an exact match which I found at Garden Winds. Unfortunately the second replacement top which was supposed to be the same ended up as a cheap product, thin and not water resistant. It did not last a year. I will not purchase any more from them. So I was glad that this one was water resistant. Grommets in center - Cover needs additional grommets.
Product needs additional grommets in center 2 to 3 inches behind other grommets to stop water from pooling and ruining the cover. Put one on frame and you will see how rain water pools in the center when rains and damages the cover.
