This WiFi range booster was purchased on recommendation from a family member. My router is on 2nd floor, and XBOX system in the basement. It was having trouble keeping up during live games. I added this WiFi range booster on the 1st floor, and it solved the problem. Download speeds improved dramatically in the basement. The trick was to put the WiFi range booster half way between the router and the XBOX. When I initially put the WiFi range booster in the basement, it didn't work because it was too far from the source to get a signal and boost it. Set up was easy, I just did the push button method vs online method. The other trick, is that you need to wait 30-60 seconds for the signal to register when you plug it in, or turn on a device. I have two of these in my house to provide robust signals to Nest doorbell and outside cameras. I paid $15 on eBay for the 2nd one. It is easy to setup and use to extend your WIFI range throughout your house. Some of my WIFI devices were suffering from weak signals and interference from other WIFIs. There's an increasing amount of traffic in my area and changing channels on 2.4GHz did not fully solve the problem.This device did. Great product.

This is a great little plug and play wifi extender. I had to use the WPS button to connect to it and you have to be fairly close to your original router at first but once it's established you can move it farther away. I just wish my devices would auto switch to this router when I get out of range of my original one. I either have to shut off my wifi on the device and turn back on for this to connect or I have to manually connect by selecting the Extender and authenticating myself. No big deal I guess, it covers my whole back yard and that's what matters.
