    Useful But Not Total Solution

    I purchased this product in order to avoid having to dismantle the top of my engine, and whilst it is perfect for deep rooted leads, I have a 2003 Audi A3, and even if I attempted to adapt this tool the no3 lead would still be virtually impossible to remove without removing a mire of T-bolts and screws to boot, (no pun intended). In conclusion if you can see all of the leads this is a great tool, however whilst it was helpful it was not the total solution to my problem. Kindest regards

    Does not work out of the box

    The metal tube that goes into the hollow part is simply welded on inside the hollow part making it stick out abput 3mm inside. When the tool was slid over the HT leads, this tube was fouling on the top of the HT leads before the hooks were engaged on the sides which was necessary to pull it out. I used a dremmel to grind material off this tube inside the hollow part of the tool in order to stop it from fouling and it worked perfectly. If you have no means of modifying it, don’t buy it. .

    Essential tool

    A must have tool when changing spark plugs on the smart cars. The tool is of good construction and has lasted me changing 6 plugs. The only slight inconvenience is the gap at the end to lock in to the ht lead plug is slightly too narrow so it is fiddly to get locked in.

    Need to do a bit of adjusting

    The lugs do not quite fit over the spades on the spark plug cover. You will need to file away the indents to make it fit. If you use tiny or swiss files they will do the job. Once adapted the tool works a treat and is much easier than trying to make your own.

    Highly Recommend

    This tool makes changing spark plugs on my Brabus Smart a simple job, which without it would take much longer and also promote the chance of damaging the HT lead to a minimum/ With out it would have been very difficult.
