After using the original HTC Incredible for four years, I needed a replacement. The old Incredible was sensational until Verizon rammed a pair of updates into it, causing all sorts of issues ranging from endless reboots to sliggishness and shortages of memory despite my having added very few apps. Furthermore, the original model was 3G only and Verizon appears to be phasing out 3G on some towers in favor of 4G and even newer tech. But I loved the form factor. I loved the ability to replace a battery in the afternoon to keep going. I loved the HTC Sense interface. Gambled on the Incredible 4G LTE as the replacement for me that would be the least painful in terms of adaptation. And indeed, this new Incredible is very, very much like the original, easing my transition. It improves upon the original in a few ways that I wasn't expecting: 1) Better battery life for the slim battery 2) Ability to use thicker, extended life batteries for continuous media streaming on my long hikes 3) Better control of display timeout, auto-brightness and other subtle characteristics 4) Hot Spot capability (which I have used A LOT and now find indispensible) 5) Beats sound system (see caveat below) Indeed, the only "issues" I have are nigglets. 1) The volume control buttons are on the right edge of the phone instead of on the left as in the original version. I hold the phone with my left hand and those pesky volume control buttons are in the wrong place. I've been trained for four years to hold the phone a certain way and now I must learn new habits. Arrrrgh! 2) The email app is better inasmuch as needing fewer taps to acknowledge or delete several emails at one time. But the CANCEL/OK panel is backwards with CANCEL on the left and OK on the right which (again) is opposite of what the original had. So I've been reflexively cancelling my operations. 3) Missing the "back" tap zone 4) Missing the joystick optical button that was so useful for scrolling. This is probably the feature I miss most. 5) I have a Beats ear-bud set that I use with an iPhone. The ear-bud volume control works on the iPhone. But it only semi-works on the Incredible. It mutes, or it unmutes. It doesn't adjust the volume. These are MINOR irritants. I have no regrets choosing the Incredible 4G LTE as my upgrade path considering the huge behavior changes I would have needed to make for Samsung or Motorola or LG smartphone interfaces. Even with the thicker extended-life battery, the unit is compact enough for any pocket. The settings section is somewhat better organized than the original, too. Mind you, I don't use the Incredible to play games or read books. I do modest surfing and modest email. So my demands on the phone are probably not representative of the mainstream consumer. I'm not "on" the phone all the time. I just have it as a lifeline for the occasional eBay bid and sports score check-in. In fact, it mostly remains in my pocket unless I get an email while trekking. But if this is your pattern and you want an easy-to-carry, compact smartphone with on-the-fly replaceable batteries that does the essentials well, then this model is worth a look.Read full review

Phone was ok but most of the functions didn't work properly, would not take pictures of receive pictures either. I knew it was a gamble being such a cheap phone but still expected it to at least do what it was supposed too.

Started with the Droid Incredible 2 and wanted to have 4g LTE capability so I bought this phone. The phone is true to it's HTC design and layout. The only thing I wasn't expecting was screen size. It's narrow and on the small size. It fits in the hand and your pocket well. You can reach anywhere on the screen with one hand. Screen is not ideal for viewing videos. If your an HTC fan and want a practical phone that is built well with a smaller screen, this is the phone for you.
The value of this phone for the money paid is unbelievably good, off the charts good. Of course all the normal Verizon bloatware is on the phone a problem that exist on any smartphone with any carrier so get over that, nothing can be done about this that I am aware of. Extremely easy to use and find your way around unlike so many of the other phones out there. Build quality is superior compared to all the others I have seen in this phones class. The fact that the battery is removable is what really sold me on the phone. Unlike most, if not all of the newer phones today that do not have removable batteries. When, not if the battery goes bad, but when the battery goes south you will have to send the phone to the manufacturer to have the battery replaced. Or most likely you will find yourself going back to your carrier for them to rope you into the latest and greatest phone along with that all important 2 year contract extension. With a removable battery you simply buy another battery and forgo the contract extension and the latest and greatest obsolete $600.00 to $1000.00 phone. Another huge bonus to having a removable battery is if you do not want to be found via GPS tracking, simply remove the battery and you are invisible unlike those with the non removable batteries. Most are not aware that if the battery is not removed even if the battery is dead, GPS tracking is still able to locate the device. Continuing with batteries, the battery life is the only complaint I have with this phone if I really have one. Certainly not as good as I had hoped for, however nothing that an extended life battery did not remedy. Therefore the battery life is not a real issue with me. The primary reason for the purchase of this phone is because it was the newest technology I could find (I was willing to pay for) without having to get a new contract or a contract extension with a removable battery and would not cost me $600.00 to $1000.00 for an obsolete phone without a contract attached to it. Additionally I really did not want to carry around a small TV like most of the newer phones are. If I need a portable TV I have one, but I certainly do not want a phone the size of my first portable TV. Bigger is not always better, especially when it comes to a mobile phone you have to carry around. Truthfully there really is not much on TV fit for watching anyway. This phone gets 5 stars from me even though the battery life is not what I had hoped for. A solid device with good front and rear facing cameras that is extremely easy to navigate and use. Overall if I had to do this again, I would choose the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE all over again. A great device with great features that is very solidly built with a removable battery and all the technology (actually more) that I use or anyone else uses for that matter.Read full review
The HTC Incredible 4G LTE seems to be a very powerful & capable smartphone, easily holding its own up there w/ the 'big boys' currently on the market today...although it only utilizes a 1.2GHz processor, it has no problems competing w/ my Motorola M & LG Spectrum 4G LTE in terms of speed or power...in fact, my Incredible seems to 'stay on point' a little more regularly than either of the previously mentioned phones, as long as I dont overload it w/ apps & tasks galore all at one time...HTC's skin (Sense) is very user friendly, and lends a very 'intuitive' feeling to the overall feel & control of the phone, especially when compared to the Moto M's very 'technical' interface & control layout...the M is very capable, but in certain ways a bit 'complex' when compared to other ergonomically designed units in this category... Pros: Dual core 1.2 GHz SnapDragon processor, excellent interface & feel, very good battery life, vibrant screen & colors, loaded w/ ICS 4.0.4, apps are very responsive w/ minimal lag or corruption issues, very good sound & external speaker performance, very good call quality & reception overall, oh, and equipped for NFC & Android Beam too! ;) Cons: honestly very little to complain about!...display is a tad smaller than what is considered 'usual' today, only 4" qHD, but honestly nothing to be concerned with, considering the compact size of the unit (4.8 x 2.4 x 0.46 & only 4.6oz)! Overall a really great smartphone w/ impressive performance and response...I really like the 'stealthy' size of this unit as compared to carrying around some of the newer (& much larger!) phones in a jeans pocket, which are not so comfortable or easy to get out while driving! :O This smartphone has the capabilities I need to perform my everyday tasks without being obtrusive or awkward as some other units seem to be...I really think HTC has churned out a Good Joe here! ;) Cheers! :)Read full review

The Droid Incredible line on Verizon has always been a sleeper favorite. Now, the third iteration in the series has arrived with the Droid Incredible 4G LTE.With a 4-inch Super LCD display at qHD 960 x 540 resolution, the screen is just as retro as the Incredible's looks.A quick, smaller-screened Android phone. Detailed camera and sharp screen look good. All-day battery life is the norm. Verizon 4G LTE is fast.Priced lower than Verizon's other more-compelling smartphones
I brought this phone because, I wanted to upgrade from my old HTC thunderbolt smartphone that I had buy the extended battery for to make it lasts all day long. Now on my HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE smartphone just with the standard battery it lasts all day long. Now no longer a need for heavy smartphones with the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE. Finally, the only con is a smaller 4.0 screen compared to the HTC Thunderbolt which it's screen size is 4.3. But, you can't beat this phone for the battery life, how light it is and of course the newest Android operating system: Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
Purchased as a gift. Recipient loved the phone but hates the battery life. Switched from an IPhone and wanting to try a different type of smartphone. Very fascinated with all the different Applications available.
A very nice smart phone. On the same level as an iphone without the price !
