    Better design than the original plugs it replaced

    I had to replace an old plug in my boat and this is what the manufacturer calls for even though they are a bit different. I was concerned at first but once it was in I realized that the new style allows water to drain much better and I couldn’t be happier. In fact I ordered 2 more to replace some of the other drain plugs.

    Not great on ls/lx2000 boat

    These are apparently re-designed by yamaha, and depending on what you install it on will probably work fine, BUT they DO NOT work well for the plugs found in engine compartment of yamaha ls2000/lx2000 jet boats because there is not enough clearance behind the plug which causes it to bottom out which makes you have to push extra hard and twist to install. Also, they have a funky thread setup on the plugs which allows misalignment, and crooked installation, and damage to the threads on plug if you arent careful. These can be used if you are patient, but the older design was way better for the jetboats.
