A bit clumsy but works well

This seems to be harder to set up than necessary and do not try during performance!! In the studio, when you make sure to get it on correctly, it works really well. Since this is the only square neck capo I have found to be somewhat consistent, it is a good value.

Don't seem to work for me

I've used Shubb capos for years on my guitars and they work excellent for me. Better than any other capo I've used. So when I got a Dobro I decided to get a Shubb Capo for it also. Well' it don't work as well on a dobro. It's just too flimsy to get mounted correctly. It takes me forever to get it mounted and most of the time it wants to deaden the 1st and 2nd strings after I've finished. It's better than nothing, but I wished I could find something else that's works better.

  • Shubb capo

The capo is a little awkward to use at first. Maybe when I get used to it, it will be better. The capo does an excellent job though, and the way it is made, keeps you from getting the capo in the wrong position. By the way it positions over the fret, there is no danger of getting sharp or flat. I think that it will be fine once I'm used to it

  • Title?

My dobro is American made by Crafters of Tennessee. The strings are 7/16” above the fretboard. I was unable to get the capo to clamp down properly on the strings even after trying all recommended adjustments. It just didn’t work for my dobro.
