Very Dependable
I have about 12 of these temperature controllers working in a greenhouse 100 % humidity some are several years old they are still working . For induction loads I have always used a relay rather than the internal contacts. For resistive loads I have never used the above 4 amps I took one apart and think for high cycle rates the contacts would not survive so use a relay that you can replace as needed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Flawless continuous or intermittent operation
These little controllers work great. I set one up on a homemade yogurt maker and it controls the temperature exactly where I want it. It gets unplugged when not in use and when I plug it in to start another batch of yogurt, it takes off without a hitch. Great temperature controller.
I keep a couple of these on hand for my projects. I have used them to control hot tube temperatures. I used one to control a heating tank and have made paint baking ovens. Use one to control a contactor for high current and it will control large heating elements. I haven't personally used one to control cooling but I don't see it being an issue. Project thermo
So far working great, built a system to turn on 3 12v fans when an area of my basement gets too warm. Wish there was a wiring diagram, but once you know the relays are JUST relays and provide no power from the 12V, you run your own from the power and you're set. Wish there was a way to disable heating relay, but it only pulls 3 watts, so it's okay. Great Digital controller!!
I used this to turn a small upright freezer in to a draft beer kegarator,or kezzer if you will. it keeps the freezer temperature at a set 36* i wired it into the auto defrost timer switch so it still has auto defrost on the unit. It is working with a quarter barrel of beer in it, and it will also handle a half barrel if needed. i installed the new temp controller in the front bottom kick plate grill where the power on, light was located .
