      In the beginning it showed cpu error and my computer turned off by itself. Then I reinstalled the cpu with less thermal paste on top and it worked fine. Sometimes the cpu fan speeds up because of overheating or overclothing, things that never happened with the previous version called AMD Athlon II X2 240e. Anyway the fan cools it but spends more power.

      Processor upgrade

      I have had this CPU installed for a month now and I have noticed a improvement in processing speed. This CPU replaced my Phenom II x3 710, well worth the purchase price. By upgrading the processor and changing to SSD drive, I now have new computer!

      Upgrade for HP 6230y

      Wanted to upgrade my HP desktop. Went from a stock 2.6 gig 90 watt CPU to this. Works fine with MOB, runs a little warmer but not much. Kept stock fan, so far a good upgrade for a couple bucks. Plug and play.

      Still good from so far

      As a used product might have some wear, this also had a stain on top. I tried to remove the stain but it's like hard dry glue. Anyway the cpu works fine with the right amount of thermal paste, heat sink and fast fan. I almost don't receive it. It was misdelivered via USPS in my neighborhood. But I quickly went to the post office to ask where it was sent. Then the mail carrier remembered where and put it in my mail box later.
