    Overlooked masterpiece!

Ozzy released this album to fulfill a contractual obligation. With replacement guitarist Brad Gillis, he refused to release an album of music he had written with recently deceased guitarist Randy Rhoads. Consequently, Ozzy has always dismissed this album as one that he does not like and encouraged his fans to buy any other album in his catalog. HOWEVER, if you are a fan of great guitar playing, a great early 80's band, Ozzy or Black Sabbath music, this is a MUST OWN. This is an album of all Black Sabbath covers. Brad Gillis is more that up to the task of filling in. In fact, I enjoy his interpretations of many of the songs better than the originals. Bassist Rudy Sarzo is the quintessential '80's hard rock bass player and Tommy Aldridge is one of the finest drummers in Rock & Roll. ...

  • Excellent Live CD of Ozzy's Black Sabbath Stuff!

This seems to be an underated CD in Ozzy's catalog, and from what I've read, he's actually had it deleted from his North American releases and personally "hates" it. I'm not sure of his reasoning behind that, but I gotta say I absolutely love it! I first got this on album 30 yrs ago and wore the thing out! I haven't had access to a record player for 15+ years, so when I recently bought the CD off eBay, it was such a joy to hear it again. The UK remastered version from 1995 sounds awesome!! The instruments are all right up-front and Ozzy's vocals are very clear. If you like Ozzy, but aren't all that familiar with his Sabbath stuff, don't let that put you off buying this. I was the same way back 30 yrs ago when all I knew were Paranoid ...

  • Kick ass awesome

Ozzy outdoes himself in this album without Black Sabbath. What a loss for them! Its bloody great! Great quality recordin, great songs...you just want to listen to it again and again and again. It is a classic in its genre. A must for any Ozzy fan and heavy metal fan too. Ive been looking for it for years until my wife found it on Ebay...what a wonderful site and gift!

  • Best Ozzy disc, ever.

I am replacing this Disc. I opted for the remastered version, not the more valuable "Jet" version. I intend to play this disk to death. I have owned this on CD before back when they released it on disc. I am glad to have this disc back. I bought this on Record Album when it was released in the 80's. I loved it when Ozzy went back to playing only Black Sabbath songs for one whole album. These are my favorite versions of "Children of the Grave," and "Symptom of the Universe." Ozzy was on his game for this recording. Every Ozzy fan should own this.

  • The Oz-Man!

I had this on vinyl when it was released always enjoyed playing drums along with it! Great versions of classic Sabbath!
