A Learning Experience
I'm not much as a video game player. I have read many books on vampirism in general, and Dracula in particular. The game is interesting and colorful, but what surprised me where details of medieval broadsides books of which I had no knowledge. The game's value is for me much more than a game; it is also the repository of much near-contemporary literature about Vlad Tepes. What is even more interesting is that the literature presented is in its original language, even though translations are provided. Even the Bible is presented in Jerome's ancient Vulgate translation. The puzzles tend to be irritating, but with the help of a good walkthrough, one can enjoy all the treasures this game contains.I'm not much as a video game player. It reminds me of Indiana Jones.
This game is a lot of fun. It doesn't seem to be a continuation of Dracula Resurrection or The Last Sanctuary. There are a lot of Vlad Tapes stuff that I would loosely connect with Vlad the Impaler which did not come up on Resurrection or The Last Sanctuary. I did not like the swastika in it. There is a tiny bit of WWI and WWII in there and it takes place in Rome, Turkey and Romania. So just think of India Jones as he encountered the Nazis. It is like that.This game is a lot of fun.
