About this product

Product Information

In Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone, the player directs a party of three characters: Fighter, Sorcerer and Rogue. The player controls one party member at a time -- switching between them on the fly -- while the other party members are AI-controlled. For example, when the player controls the Fighter, the Sorcerer and Rogue will continue to engage in combat, cast spells and assist the player in defeating all challengers. In many situations, the characters will be able to divide and conquer difficult objectives. The player participates seamlessly in each critical moment as they are cinematically switched from one perspective to another. Players are continually tasked with choosing the best character for each challenge as well as using each character's gameplay specialty to maximum effect.

  • GAME WAS TERRIBLE

The characters in the game were so difficult to control that it took away from the story. By that I mean you could not loose yourself in the game like many others that I have played becuase you were constantly pushing five or six keys just to get the person to move one way or another. The other thing I didn't like was the fact that you COULD NOT change the keys at all. First game I played as in RPG that you could not change a single thing. The options screen I think had on thing in it. I think it was sound. Come on people it's a roll play game which means to me you have to create your roll. One of the few RPG's that is on my DO NOT BUY LIST.

  • Hack, Slash, Watch movie, Rinse, Repeat

Although the game is fun to play, Demon Stone is one of those constrictive-feeling linear RPGs that assume everything and allow no decision-making. Primarily a hack & slash, it's not overly original in its combat system, and it getsold switching from one character to the next every time the game forces you into a situation where only one character's skill will solve the problem (you basically control three characters at a time, except during special fights, like when you control Drizzt). On the positive side, it's a pretty game, and the terrain and ai don't interfere with gameplay, which so many hack & slashers suffer from. There are also plenty of skills and items to accumulate during the course of your adventures. But, best of all, Patrick Stewart and Michael Clark Duncan provide ...
