  • Sweet spot for a high quality small light digital camera

In the 1970s, I used an Olympus OM1 and 28 - 70 lens when backpacking and mountaineering. This is the first high quality digital camera I've found that competes with that old film (I shot Kodachrome 64) camera package, not only in the flexibility of focal length and quality and resolution of exposure, but also in physical size and weight. One with an electronic viewfinder as well as a rear screen. It is the combination of of a relatively large sensor (4/3) with a high quality (and therefore not that big range) zoom lens and electronic viewfinder that makes this camera perfectly match my needs... in some respects better than the similar Canon G7x and Sony Rx100 and other similar high quality but small, light, portable digital cameras. Pity it doesn't have a built in flash for convenience, but overall it's for me a near prefect compromise in terms of how much near professional level quality can be packed into so small and light a size.

  • Automatic features with as much manual control as you want.

Very nice and versatile camera. This camera has the automatic features of a point-and-shoot with the ability to go manual on any of the controls. So you can have as much control as you want over the images. Great price as well.

  • Small camera with big features and quality.

The picture quality is amazing. There is a learning curve but, that is to be expected with a camera of this type. I highly recommend this camera for amateurs and pros alike.

  • Lovely camera.

I have the first version snd that took me months to get used to. This is not a good first camera but once you understand it’s quirks it will do what you want and produce lovely pictures. The screen doesn’t tilt but I use the Panasonic app to control my phone for discreet street shots and for difficult angles. It has an easy automatic mode for quick unplanned photos and lots of dials. Not truly pocketable it is compact solid and a lovely go anywhere camera. At $500 for lightly used the Mark 2 is a bargain. Better for stills than video.

  • A great "Walking around" camera

It's a delight to use and a great "Walking around" camera. I hardly go anywhere without carrying it with me in a small belt pouch or in my coat pocket. With the exception of not having interchangeable lenses it has all the functionality of my other Lumix cameras, a G85 and GX85. What I like the most are the external controls for the important shooting functions, including the aspect ratio. It feels very much like my film cameras. I'd recommend buying an automatic lens cap. It makes the shooting experience even more spontaneous

  • Great camera!

As a Leica De Lux owner since 2008 I wanted a camera update but at a more reasonable price. The Lumix Lx100ii is virtually the same camera as the Leica De Lux for a lot less. I'm very pleased with the image quality. The easy functionality is awesome.

  • Great lightweight travel camera.

Regarding value, It was dearer than expected when import duty was added, however I think being one of the last retro looking compact micro 4/3rds cameras I believe it will hold it's value.

  • Perfect for enthusiast PHOTOGRAPHER

This camera is excellent for people who are used to shooting on DSLR cameras, but need a more compact option. I love the five dials on this for controlling zoom, focus (if set to manual focus mode), aperture, shutter speed, exposure compensation, or anything else.
