However, we did not know that and asked the seller to investigate it. He did but his powers if investigation only extended to UPS in the USA. He had no lnowledge of other carriers such as the Chinese one which handled the package from Glendale, Illinois to Thailand. This package was insured by Ebay

    Full length OPL3 and Advanced Wave Synthesis sound card packed with features that will make you smile.

    The CT-3980 Sound Blaster AWE 32 PNP ISA is the last sound card from Creative Labs to use the OPL3-certified CT-1747 chip, allowing for full compatibility with Ad-Lib, SoundBlaster, SoundBlaster Pro compatible games that utilized FM Synthesis. This model uses an OPL3 chip, and contains the OPL logo, it does not use CQM unlike its CT-3990 counterpart. For some, like myself, that genuine OPL3 audio capability is huge for legacy games, especially as these cards become more rare and hard to find for older systems. SoundBlaster AWE32 PnP also offers full Windows 95 support right out of the box, as well as MS-DOS and Windows 3.11. It is a full length ISA card, which also has capability to add RAM expanding the Wave SoundFont table from 512K RAM to 28MB of RAM of font storage capacity. Also ...

    One of the best sound cards for the 1990s!

    This sound card is the "value" version of the Sound Blaster AWE32. I remember going to this card from a Mediavision PAS16 and was stunned. Advanced wave synthesis rather than OPL-3 FM synthesized music let this card sing all the .midi files I threw at it! Games sounded amazing with crystal clear 16-bit sounds and beautiful music! This card is basically a Sound Blaster 16 with advanced wave table synthesis so it will play OPL-3 FM synthesis just fine and is even backwards compatible with ADLIB. It was also compatible with the General MIDI standard and some other formats which lets the music sound a little different. By far, this is my favourite sound card!
