"30-minute Charging" is only for the smallest batteries
It is an improvement over the older version charger which died on me. But compared to the 30-minute chargers of other brand name, it is somewhat an exaggeration. The Makita 30-minute charger charges a 3.0AH battery in 30 minutes. But Ryobi 30-minute charger charges1.2AH battery in 30 minutes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Lithium Ion charger
I Bought the new Lithium Ion batteries for my Ryobi tools since I had no luck at all with Ryobi's original batteries. Did'nt realize that I needed to buy a new charger to go along with them. Only used once so far and worked fine, but I would definetly recomomend that if you don't already have Ryobi tools to purchase DeWalt or some other type of tools. Unfortunetly I have way to many to start over now and have had nothing but problems with tools not holding a charge with the old style batteries. Fast...you bet. Insert the battery but don't go far, really, really fast charge. Purchased as used but it had to be brand new, not a mark or a scratch. Extremely pleased with this item. Oh yeah, I read a review comment that said it was hard to get a battery out of the charger...if you are in the same group as this guy, the battery locks into the charger same as it does on the tool. Solved a problem of needing to use my Ryobi hand vacuum in two locations. Exact part needed.
Perfect, new, Ryobi item. I needed to be able to mount and charge my Ryobi hand vacuum inside my home as well as in my garage. I didn't want to run back and forth to get the vacuum. Works great. I bought a bundled kit years ago and lent out my charger. Good bye charger. So I bought this one on ebay. Nice, works better than the one I got with the bundle, good price too.
