Excellent collection of Old New Orleans recipes
Before chefs started having their own cooking shows, writing their own cook books, and ingredients were changed to be more trendy and up to date, this book takes you back and shows you some of the very best recipes of classic New Orleans cooking. This book came into my home when I was first married and I have used it more than any other book in my collection. You can look at the pages in my book and see splatters on the pages to tell you what recipes my family likes the best, and the ones I have made over and over again. When my granddaughter took up an interest in cooking I knew she would appreciate this book and ordered a copy for her. In addition to the recipes, the first part of the book gives you a description of many old historic homes in New Orleans and Plantations of Louisiana, along with their very interesting history.
