A comprehensive listing of record manufacturers during most of the 78 RPM recording era. Book is organized by record label name in alphabetic order from "ACO" to "Zonophone". Entries vary from a paragraph to several pages. Although text is not footnoted, each label's history is based on the author's knowledge as archivist for the BBC. Very helpful in dating a particular record by the recording matrix, catalog number and label design.
