Good sound attenuation. Great price
I bought these ear muffs as they appear to be the same as a pair pair I purchased two decades ago. I use them in my home workshop and when doing home and yard maintenance. So, although I don't use them daily, over the years, they have accumulated a lot of hours of use. Although the old pair had served me well, the vinyl earcup covers had gotten brittle and cracked. Therefore I purchased these as replacements. I put on the pair of new ones and the earcups fit entirely over my ears and seal well to my head. They seem to block noise as effectively as the old pair. That being said, the pressure on my head seems a bit extreme as compared to the old ones but I expect that it will relax somewhat with use. So, if they last as long as the old ones, I would consider them an excellent value. I do have to comment on the star rating. Four stars indicates "Better than expected". My expectations are high and 4 stars should indicate that my expectations were fully met, not exceeded. I gave it 5 stars because, although the product's longevity has not yet been proven, it appears to be an excellent value any any less than 5 stars would indicate some reservation on my part. So, it's 4 stars in my book but 5 stars for public consumption.
