Ratchet and Clank return for a new intergalactic adventure, one laced with role-playing game elements, in this follow-up to 2002's hit platform game starring the cat-like Ratchet and his robotic companion, Clank. Players can now watch as Ratchet becomes stronger as he gains experience points and acquires upgradeable weapons and five levels of armor. Players will also earn cash by competing in hovercraft races, fighting in gladiatorial arenas, and engaging in space combat. A total of 20 weapons and gadgets are available to blast enemies, including the lava gun that spews magma on unsuspecting foes. The action takes place on 20 all-new planets with areas nearly one-and-a-half times larger than those found in the first game.

Expect a lot of action
It is what it is, a platforming game where you shoot enemies with lots of different weapons. At least that's the gist of it. But don't expect to see a story that can match the greatest novels or inspire you. It has a compelling enough story for you to progress, but that's about it. Bare bones story-telling, fast-paced gameplay.

The case had a hole on the bottom left, and the video game instructions were not included. When putting in the game the first time, it did not work. It didn't work the second time either, but when I cleaned it a bit, it finally worked. Hopefully, I won't experience that problem again. But so far, the game runs fine.

A worthy sequel!
I have completed the first Ratchet & Clank completely, and I really wanted to continue the series. I found a complete copy for $6! I got it, I'm pretty far in the game right now, and it is very good! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Get the first one, too.

Going Commando is a Platforming Classic!
The original Ratchet & Clank Trilogy still holds up as a staple of the platforming genre! The weapons are fantastic, the movement is smooth for the era, the score is phenomenal, & the humor still tickles my funny bone! If you've got a PS2 I'd highly recommend hunting down the original games. They may not be as graphically polished as the HD collection on PS3, but it's hard to beat nostalgia, & the original's refinement on PS2. While red label games aren't as favorable for a collection, it's far easier to find copies with beautiful disc, manual, and case conditions.

A must have game for your PS2 Library
