Easy to use and starts every time; the best bang for your buck.
This trickle charger is simple and easy to use. It comes with alligator clips or bolt on quick disconnects. It is easy to get Deltran brand extension cables of various sizes. I purchased both a 6 foot and 12 foot cable. I hardwired the bolt on disconnect and zip tied the 6 foot cable into the engine compartment of the car and comes out under the front bumper. I used the 12 foot cable to connect the charger in the garage to the car. No matter how long the car sits, it now starts instantly, even in the cold.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

The Battery Tenders are of the utmost quality and a must have for those who store their equipment for long periods of time. With the long warranty offered on them they are an outstanding deal. I have purchased 9 of the 3/4 amp ones and 6 of the 1 1/4 amp ones and have given a couple away to relatives. We travel south as snowbirds and leave several cars at home that all get Battery tenders installed on them. Lawn mowers too and my steam cleaner Battery. I don't worry about coming back home to dead batteries. Have owned most of mine for over 10 years and would not be without them. Smart charger in a compact size
I needed a battery tender for a drag racing car that sits for anywhere from 1-3 weeks between races, and this suits the purpose perfectly. The Deltran unit has smart electronics that automatically apply the right amount of charge. Unlike an actual battery charger it won't overcharge your battery because it switches to float mode once the battery is fully charged, and senses if it needs to apply more charge as the battery drains. It is compact, quiet, and the smart electronics make it more useful than a trickle charger that you have to keep an eye on to prevent overcharging. With this unit you can hook it up, plug it in, and forget it. When used for the right purpose it will maintain a good battery at full charge, ultimately extending its life. What it won't do is bring a bad battery back from the dead or give you a jump start. Really works, easy to use. This is a must have.
This battery tender really works. I have been using it for about a year now and have had no problems. It keeps the battery on my fun car charged and ready to go even if I don't get to drive it for a month or more. It is small and easy to hook up. I have just used the clips to attach it to the battery posts but I plan on using the wired connection one of these days. That way I would not have to lift the hood to hook it up. It's more than a trickle charger
I've had all kinds of motorcycles over the last fifty years and the problem has always been: How do I get my battery to survive the winter. I've burned up batteries in the bike and on the shelf with trickle charges of all sorts. It wasn't until I started paying the extra for the Deltran Battery Tenders that I felt confident that my battery would survive or that I had a clue that it was going bad. They are a bit more expensive, but the cost is quickly offset by the number of batteries that I've saved.
