Enough bubble wrap and two passed envelopes were enough to protect it from small drops and getting heavier things put on it in shipping. The unit was the one pictured, as noted in the items description, it came without all of the accessories you get with a new one. Given the age of the device, and the lack of accessories, I feel I got it for a fair price.
