    Excellent vacuum, a bit difficult to control.

    The shark has great power to clean! I like the vacuum a lot. I would caution that it’s a little heavy to control as a whole unit. I have only used it once, so I might learn to handle it better. It has a lot of nice features, and you can’t beat the suction.

    Shark rotator liftaway.

    I had a regular shark rotator for 5 years and the brush rotator button stopped working. All the females in my family have long hair, plus I have 2 dogs and a cat so I’d been wanting one of the new vacuums where the roller brush self cleaned. This vacuum was fantastic. No hair on the roller and you wouldn’t believe the fine dirt and hair it picked up. I ran the vacuum 2 days before. The foam filter recommends cleaning every 3 months. No way it was so dirty I washed it as soon as I was done. The pet brush works really good also for small area where you want more than just the crevices tool and the vacuum it to big for that area. Highly recommend. Only thing I found that might be negative to some people is it a little on the heavy side. Worth every penny though.

    Works well on carpets and with attachments

    I've used a Dyson stick vac for a few years, V6, but deep cleaning requires a little more power. Ditched the Bissel that I hated for this Shark. I like the power and ease of use for attachments. And the rotator is a plus. It gets my carpets done well. When the brush roller is engaged it kind of pulls itself along. I still prefer the stick vac for light weight rugs because the Shark weighs about 17 pounds and is harder to maneuver on small rugs. Also it's a little heavy for bare floors but does work. The attachments work well for furniture. It does the job I got it for, my carpets.
