    GREAT VALUE!! Takes some getting used to--sounds

    It certainly does as is stated, but you have to get used to sounds it produces and what they mean--feedback is-and usually shows by the sound it makes. Doesn't feel like a toy, but serious. Sounds like its taking off. If it stops in the middle of the adapter cycel, cancel. Mason Jar: Dirt on the ring has prevented sealing. You KNOW you have a good seal on Mason jars when you take the hose off and can HEAR the vacuum suck AT THAT TIME. Suggest including 100cc per quart Oxygen Absorbers-Amazon, also to be vacuum sealed in a mason jar at each session.

    Super Sealer to the Rescue

    This was a gift for my son. He is wheelchair bound with dexterity issues and he loves this! He cooks a lot with the sous vide and had trouble getting the bags sealed with zip lock every time. This is definitely the answer. Now he is sealing away. His food should last longer and be fresher and a few other things around the house such as delicate electronic components will be safer.

    It is worth every dollar!

    Best for Sucking the air right out of the bag (or can).

    Fantastic Vacuum saver. I"m really excited to have this in my repetoire of cooking. Sous Vide and food saving are my gig. Note: the 4400 and 4440 series are the same. It is the identifier to which store, location, etc. to which the 4400 series is sold.

    I don't feel it's worth the extra expense to have automatic features. I prefer manual operation.
