Dukes of HancocK are a home grown mid-western band out of Warsaw IL located on the banks of the Mississippi river. Nestled in the great county of 'Hancock IL'...'Dukes of Hancock' Front man Bocephus 'Bo' Wayne Casey Born in Keokuk, IA . Bounced back and forth between Lake Charles, LA and Warsaw, IL for the better part of his life. Bocephus boasts song writing credits for the first album 'Straight out of Hancock' set to release soon. Luke 'Duke Lukem' Hopson is the drummer/producer that is about as well rounded of a musician as they come. Luke is fresh off of a tour of duty in Afghanistan and still maintains his position in the National Guard. Luke brings more of a metal feel to the band and just may be considered the double bass pedal's best friend. ;) Backing up the Duo as of late and providing some sweet guitar licks in the new album is J.J. 'The J.J.' from Warsaw IL and playing bass live is Zach Travis 'the frontman for Overdraft' Currently finishing up recording in the Coppermine Studio's in Quincy IL and touring the mid-west. Bocephus is Self taught playing the guitar on the road driving a truck. His given birth name is 'Bocephus' because of a drunken promise to his father's best friend at Hank Jr concert in 1981. Influences include but not limited to are; Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, Merl Haggard, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Morrison, Taj Mahal, and Trampled by Turtles. The Dukes are self proclaimed River Rats and lover of all things music.
