Instr. sheet states "best height 20cm" and separation 2m. "The beam is strong within 1 meter, for short distance use, please remove the lens to reduce signal". (Listing didn't mention this). I reduced strength of transmitter by adding some paper in front of the transmitter window (otherwise the receiver always detects the beam even when blocked) and it seems to work with separation of only ~3 feet.Follow-up from: y***e- Feedback followed up by buyer.- Feedback followed up by buyer.correction: Instr. sheet says best height 20cm" and sensor distance (separation) NOT LESS than 2m.
