    Lost history brought to life by outstanding actors.

    It didn't have subtitles for the hearing impaired in English. Other than that, a very good movie! Tom Hanks and Geena Davis did knock out performances. Great supporting staff also. Probably not politically correct by today's standards. The remake by comparison lost the fun of the movie by trying to make a social statement instead of celebrating the achievements these women made. This is a movie that has survived the passage of time and will be enjoyed by future generations.

    A great historical-based lesson for all us baseball lovers!

    Since this film is based on a non-fictional event, generally, it was fascinating to see. I enjoyed its use of historical events as a basis for this unusual view of two sisters, one of whom is very jealous of the other and uses this as an excuse for her decisions. Therefore, the characters were greatly engaging, the plot was vastly interesting as its historic base was riveting, and the dram was well-handled by the actors. It is a fabulous work! There are a few problems, with the lapse of time, and of interest in the general public of today, but the actors alleviated some of this incongruity.

    Who knew

    This is one of my favorite movies. When I first saw this I did not know they had a "Women's Professional Softball team". Tom Hanks and Gina Davis were outstanding in this movie. It's light and fund to watch. the important thing is it tells about a piece of history people do not know about. Get it. You wont be disappointed.

    Favorite Movie ever!

    I used to watch this movie everytime it came on TV. Now I dont have anything other than good internet and streaming sites so I HAD to buy a copy of this movie. As old as it is, I was skeptical of my chances to find a good DVD copy. Thank God I did! So happy to add this to my collection finally!
