Product Information

The ESP LTD EC-256 electric guitar has the look and sound of a professional instrument, without being prohibitively high end. The maple top, over an all-mahogany body and the set-neck construction, make this guitar a success, both visually appealing and easy to listen to. Two ESP humbucking pickups with three-way toggle switches, independent volume controls for each pickups, and a single master tone control with push-pull coil tap, all give you plenty of tools for making great music. A rosewood fingerboard with 22 XJ frets across a 24.75-inch scale length provides both speed and comfort for playing. ESP die-cast tuners and a tune-o-matic bridge make this a very reliable instrument.

    Outstanding bang-for-your-buck guitar

    I bought this guitar used after seeing an old YouTube video review. (This particular model with a distressed finish was discontinued a while ago, so it was unavailable new.) The best thing about the design of this guitar is the access to the upper frets. You can play notes on the 22nd fret comfortably. I am also happy with the sound of the pickups and the volume and tone pots. You can get a lot of different sounds by adjusting the knobs. The tuners and bridge feel and look solid. Overall, I'm very happy with this guitar and I wish I had found out about ESP LTD guitars sooner.

    Good Buy and Sounds Great

    A very good guitar that plays and sounds very good. A real bang for the buck when cost is considered. I would say that this guitar is a great buy for beginners and intermediate players. It is impressive and I intend to use it in public. I'm glad I purchased this guitar.

    Pretty sweet for the money

    Could use better tuners and pots. Sounds great, plays almost as good as higher end guitars. Overall for the money this is a pretty sweet guitar. I use it for open mic night.

    EC 256 Review

    Great guitar right out of the box. As with all ESP pickups used by Ltd, they can truly hold a note and really belt out done heavy rock riffs. I love this guitar!!!
