    This was recorded during Mel Torme's classic period, but is not quite up to the level of his classic albums with Marty Paich. The arrangements are by Billy May and are, perhaps intentionally, a bit on the corny side, but Mel is in good voice and makes the best of it. It is an enjoyable set, if not up to the standard of his best work.
