    Very good printer / print quality

    This is a great printer! Very durable. Laser cartridge last for many, many pages of print, far more than any ink jet printer cartridge. Prints great quality at a very fast speed. Common maintenance parts are readily available and easy to install. High capacity bottom tray as well as a manual feed tray that folds in when not in use. Some models are capable of double sided printing with optional component. Network capable (wired via Ethernet cable) for printing across a network. Easily configured for network printing. Sleep mode when not in use, to conserve power. Very reliable, but if used frequently, maintenance should be performed to maintain that print quality.

    early comments on experience

    Received printer in great shape, packed excellent. Was very clean with what appeared to be test documents in the hopper. Had book with it and cords. Hooked it up and it worked great and printed great plugged directly into the computer. Have tax business and do need the network to work. Was not able to get the network to work yet. Appears old protocol was left in the printer and haven't had the time to replace it with ours. So far so good.

    Excellent machine for home office or small business

    This is my 2nd HP3005DN. The "D" is very important in that it means it can duplex print (i.e.print both sides). I use my 2 machines on a wired network and printing is fast and inexpensive in comparison to an inkjet printer. Because this is not the latest generation of HP printers, people might tend to think it is not be a good machine to buy, however warm-up is quick and the print time is quite acceptable. Plus f you get an additional drawer, you can print on multiple formats (we use plain and prepunched) which is quite useful.

    Great laser printer. HP, in my opinion has been one of the best work horses in the printer industry. Responds very quick when you send a print item to the printer. Highly recommend if you are going to use for a personal business or a company. Works well on the network.
