    This iron replaced a well-worn iron of the same model. I had enjoyed the previous iron very much and was delighted to find a like-new replacement. I like its weight, excellent steam function, and performance. I used the first iron on everything from thin delicate fabrics to heavy cotton ones. The performance of the iron never disappointed me until a short in the cord caused its demise after 20+ years of use. I have already put the replacement iron to the "test," and it performed beautifully.
