    Produces the best water

    I had to have a family member who is familiar with Berkey water filters set this up for me. the filters have to be flushed out under the faucet first and that's not a totally easy task. Don't avoid this step. Even my family member thought he could put the black filters in without flushing them first but it didn't work. But we learned something in the process. Flush the filters first! Otherwise, the Berkey isn't that difficult to put together; yet I did need some help because I had never done it. Now that I have my filter, it was TOTALLY WORTH the price. It filters out fluoride, aresenic, metals, clorine, etc, and the water tastes great. I couldn't drink the faucet water at my location but now I can thanks to Berkey.     Be Careful

    Even after following set up instructions, plus running full tanks through quite a few times, there was a bitter taste to the water. I had persistent GI trouble for a few days and finally figured out that it might be the water and something must have leeched from the white fluoride/arsenic filter, even though the water ran perfectly clear. I must have twisted it on one too many times, but it was really hard to determine the instructed number of turns because there is no mark on the filter to indicate where to start and stop to count a turn. I tried to do it by sight but it was small and dizzying. I should’ve marked it with a pen but instructions said to remove plastic and wash it. Berkeley would do well to put a mark to make it easier. I took the white filters off to remedy the problem. ...

    Travel Berkey Water Purifier

    The filter provides excellent water quality. I now drink far more water knowing its purity. My wife did over fill it once, but that was an operator error no fault of the filer. Overall we are both very pleased with the filter at a reasonable price compared to the one my son had install at $3000.00. I know own water is on par with his system just by comparing the taste.

    Berkey Travel Water Filter

    So glad I bought this Berkey travel. We are currently using at home but plan to take with us motorhoming. It is great size, filling once a day using to filter our tap water at the moment and using the small bottle to take to work and sports. Saves lugging water home from the supermarket and so so much plastic! Everything tastes so much better. Great investment. Did find the assembly instructions daunting at first but actually quite easy to do at home and very robust feels built to last. Very happy customers.

    Questionable well water

    I went to the internet to figure out what to do for clean water while on well water. I can get bigger systems for sure, but this was affordable and one stop shopping while I decide about a big whole house system. Drinking water is a priority. I think the directions could be better as the one's included make it look much harder. But so far, so good. Wish I had invented this!
