Item as described; however a word of caution to anyone buying old Macintosh computers, these things are made of plastic that do not age well. Even with the best intentions and packaging they may not survive shipping without damage. That said the seller was sympathetic and responded very quickly. We agreed on a resolution and left very satisfied. Will defiantly buy from seller again!

    Perfect for my iMac 24" early 2009 3.06GHz computer.

    Just like my 1TB hard drive but a little faster and two times the capacity. The 2TB hard drive is quiet and fast. One of the reasons I bought it was it is a Black Wester Digital hard drive(very reliable). even after being shipped

    Black all the way. Never go green.

    Never get any of the Caviar Green drives from WD. You can read a bunch of reviews all over the internet about how many of the green drives die on them. I am just another one of those people. I'm very upset at WD that they would produce such garbage. I've been a solid supporter of WD drives over the years, but I learned the hard way that it's not worth the money to buy their "economical/eco-friendly" drives. Bought 3 green drives in total (1TB, 2TB, 2TB). 1 of them developed a bunch of bad sectors and by God's grace, I was able to pull off all my info in the nick of time. Another one slowed to a crawl and now takes hours to copy a GB of data. I'm replacing the third one right away now because I'm not waiting around to see what happens. I'm praying that the saying will be true: Once ...

    WD Black is on the attack, great Hard Drive!

    Awesome HD and fast,Noise has not been any issue. slightly expensive but works flawless! Very Easy to partition and format, 2 terabtyes was easily accepted by windows 7 so no issues there and now my computer has plenty of room with this second Hard Drive, very happy with the purchase. I will still have to see how the longevity of this product holds up but most reviews speak well of this particular product and Western Digital has been around for quite some time, I put my personal stamp on this item for whatever that is worth!!

    Best Hard Drive For Your Money!

    I currently have 2 of the Western Digital 2TB Caviar Black hard drives in my Mac Pro and love them! I have not had a signal problem with them. They are very fast without being noisy and provide plenty of storage space. I highly recommend this hard drive!

    Western digital caviar black that means fast

    It is a very good hard drive and fast. I had Hitachi 1TB and it was little noisy, so I upgraded to this 2TB drive and setup was very easy and drive is doing just fine. No noise like other drives.
