Great addition to the Wii Sports family. Definitely requires more interactive gameplay than the original Wii Sports, but it is a lot of fun when playing with multiple players. There are different levels that can be unlocked and different scenery which makes this game unlike every other Wii 'sports/play' and a must have for your collection. **Sidenote: This game typically was going for $35-$40 pre-owned, so my review is based on the purchase of the game at a $25 price point to which I found to be a great value. 😁

This proved disappointing because of the games duplicated in Wii Sports, the play is way better and more fun on Wii Sports than it is here. Bowling is simply way better on original Wii Sports and so is tennis. I thought the Motion Plus offered here in Resort would add to quality of game play but instead all it does is add complication because you have to calibrate the remote for every game which just really takes the fun out of it. Even more importantly, the other games offered we simply didn't find to be very fun, so this was an okay purchase but far from compelling. Wii Sports and Jeopardy are the ones that get by far the most play.

Lemme break this down by sport: Swordplay: Pretty friggin fun once you get the hang of defense. Sometimes don't understand why my attack gets blocked on a blatantly open opponent. Wakeboarding: Turn, Jump, Turn, Jump, fall into water for no reason. Boring and tedious Frisbee: AWESOME. Love the frolf regardless of personal suckage. Archery: Fun for a while. I went into this with high expectations and left with regrets. The control is okay and its definitely one of the hardest to be good at unless you cheat and use a table to aim or something. Basketball: Play it once, its more entertaining than the WNBA...maybe not Table Tennis: This is awesome. Good sense of actual control of spin, shot direction etc. Sweet Jesus it can be tough though. Golf: If you like golf...WHICH I DO! This is much harder than frolf. Bowling: If you don't like wii bowling, you're either a vegetable or you hate fun. "Power Cruising": Very awkward to hold two controllers in the same position. Found the controller mysteriously leaping out of my hands and into the drawer I keep them in. Canoeing: As fun as it sounds, more awkward than power cruising. Cycling:...F*** you Nintendo. I could replace this with competitive hot dog eating or a fart sniffing event and imagine having more fun. Opponents are magnetically attracted to you and like trying to control a blind rhino in a field of small bonfires. Air Sports: Plane flying is kinda neat since you get to see the island, the parachuting is briefly entertaining. Haven't done dog fighting. Overall, the good is about on par with the bad. Really should have thought about including more intuitive sports that work with the wii. Baseball would have been great. I miss tennis even though its essentially just turned into table tennis. Didn't find myself giving too much of a crumb about the medals. Some of them are ridiculous anyway. Its worth maybe 10-15 bucks if you can find it for that.Read full review
A little over 2 years ago my son went through cancer treatment. We had to be gone for 2 months from our home. While we were gone someone robbed our home and stole all his Wii games among other things in our home. This game is hard to find. He had so many games and Nintendo DSI & 64 an IPad that was taken as well. We are slowly trying to find and get some of the items replaced. It was his birthday last month. Some other family member had this game and they played it at the party. I asked him if he missed playing this game when I found it here. He said yes so I had already purchased it from you. Thanks for the item. My son has had a rough 2 years with 2 bouts of cancer. Things are looking good for him now.

This is a very entertaining game. If you get tired of playing one sport, just move on to the next. Graphics are great, and easy play for the older generation like myself. Loads of fun for the family!
