I had admired (and borrowed many times) my flying buddy's Hangar 9 voltmeter, so I decided to get one for myself. The display is easy to read, and it's nice that the meter is good for 4.8 and 6.0 volts and allows three levels of load. The characteristic that I enjoy the most is that the meter does not use an on/off switch. The meter detects voltage, presents a read out, and then shuts itself off. No more run-down batteries due to CRS!

If you still use NiCDs or NiMHs, then you need this. The LiXX readers are meant for that technology. They will read voltage of a NiXX battery but that isn't sufficient to tell you whether the battery is good for use.

Using this meter properly will save rc airplane crashes due to receiver battery not good enough to fly your plane.,,Being able to test the battery UNDER LOAD is extremely important... Additionally the unit has no battery and gets its power from the being tested... Never have to replace the meter battery...
