Plenty of power for a mid size system, will easily power your bookshelf speakers. Very simple front panel to use, not many whistles and bells. Nice size not too big or heavy. Tuner is well made and with a decent piece of speaker wire you have an antenna that will work perfectly. Has 4 normal line level stereo inputs for standard devices and of course a phono jack too. Front panel headphone jack and no frills bass, treble and balance knobs right on the face. Very happy with this receiver in fact I own 2 of them one in the garage system and one in the office. A high quality post Japan receiver (indonesia) by Pioneer. Quality components inside and a great phono stage + 100 watts per channel. This is a beast in a fairly small package. Sounds great with easy controls. Very under rated in my opinion. Killer receiver for audiophiles that need lots of power and easy controls without spending a boatload of money.Read full review

I needed it to run speakers for Sirius Radio. The sound quality is noticeably better than my 50 year old one that didn’t owe me anything!
