If you haven't seen it, you should!

A must-have for your dvd collection! Part 2 of a 3 part series, great for those who've only read the books. Normally the book is better than the movie. . . I don't think you're going to find a movie as good as the book like this collection!!

  • A great movie with cool extras, If your a fan, well you know what to do..

The Lord of the Rings is something special and has gone down in history that way, we all know that now. Just wanted to give thoughts on The Two Towers. In my personal oponion this is the best of the series, there are a couple of reasons but I think mainly because it is the most "people" oreinted movie of the triliogy. The love story between aragorn and Arywen is told far better than it is in the book! And is honestly very creative in terms of mortal and immortal falling in love and how aragorn will die but Arywen disregards this. Not to mention love between Eowyn and aragorn which is interesting because its really a better match but aragorn can't let go of Arywen, he just cant do it. The story of Rohan is an exceptional story and is very moving and you really get caught up in this ...

  • The middle

The Two Towers is my personal favorite of the 3 LOTR movies. The extended edition extra scenes add so much to the film. The extended version of The Two Towers adds 43 minutes to the theatrical version's 179-minute running time, and there are valuable additions to the film. The movie picks up where "Fellowship" left off: Merry and Pippin have been captured by Uruk-hai, and Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli are pursuing them. But they are sidetracked by an old friend: Gandalf, returned in a new form and with new powers, as Gandalf the White. He takes them to the kingdom of Rohan, whose king is bewitched by the evil Saruman. They barricade the people of Rohan in the fortress of Helm's Deep, for a final defiant stand against an army of Uruk-hai. Sam and Frodo have left, to venture into Mordor ...

  • Riders of Rohan!

What is so brilliant about this film -- probably the one which benefits the most from the additional scenes -- is how the overall story of the War of the Ring gets swept into the background of what would otherwise be an excellent stand-alone historical drama. Another high point for Peter Jackson's trilogy is the music. The theme from Rohan is dramatically different, and yet thematically in-line with the rest of the trilogy (particularly the Shire). If one hadn't taken the time to notice the music in the first film, it adds weight to an already rich and diverse soundtrack. About the only theme I find quite as moving is the lighting of the Beacons of Amon-Din. Again, awesome special features, a rich and rewarding experience and worth the wait if you are upgrading to Blu-Ray.

  • 2 Towers OUTSTANDING!!! especially - EXNTENDED version

For those who have not yet seen this movie, it is the 2nd of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and is OUTSTANDING!....After Froto and Sam separate from the rest of the group/fellowship, they continue on their journey where they meet-up with Smeagol, the mysterious and sneaky golom....The main group of Aragorn, the elf and the dwarf meet-up with an old dear friend who is a most welcome surprise. The COMBAT scenes are EXCELLENT and are longer and much more frequent than the 1st movie (Fellowship of the Ring) - Toward the end of the movie, the fighting at the Siege of Helm's Deep (fortress) is SUPERB and most intense....................I purchased the SPECIAL EXTENDED EDITION which is what I would STRONGLY recommend to those fans of this trilogy. If you have never seen this Extended Edition, I ...
