Product Information

The setting of the science fiction action film 'Snowpiercer' by Bong Joon-ho is a revolution. A climate engineering project designed to curb global warming goes out of control, resulting in an extinction-level global ice age. The only humans known to have survived are the passengers of 'The Rattling Ark,' a train that travels around the world. The problem is that the rich people live in ease and luxury in the front of the train, while the poor live in the rear, where conditions are brutally inhumane. A rebellion erupts, led by Curtis Everett, after several poor children are taken by the guards. Curtis, however, learns a disturbing fact about the rebellion that forces him to take drastic action that may endanger everyone. This two-disc version of the movie, released in 2014, contains special features such as the animated prologue, concept art, and behind the scenes footage.

Unexpected Gem
I bought this movie dirt cheap on a total lark because it just looked & sounded interesting and I'm into weird Indie movies. I was astounded at how amazing it was and couldn't believe I had never heard of it before. I was literally on the edge of my seat and went threw a roller coaster of emotions watching it. So few movies do that to me anymore. What blew my mind completely is that Chris Evans (aka Captain America & Fantastic Four) was the lead, because he is almost unrecognizable and his acting is far better than any other movie I've ever seen him in. It actually made me respect him as an actor, where before I just couldn't stand him. This movie is quite unique, very well done, extremely entertaining and certainly worthy of watching & owning.
